Countdown to Opening Day

In case you didn't know that I was slightly obsessed with baseball (and I use slightly obsessed in the kindest of ways since I am talking about myself here), the best time of the year begins on Thursday!

I miss working in baseball, but I can still enjoy the game even if part of my job description isn't sitting at a ballpark watching a game.

I love everything about baseball season, many things that those who are not baseball enthusiasts can enjoy. Baseball means warm weather, longer days, summer afternoons and warm nights. LoDo is so much more enjoyable during baseball season. The highlights on Sportscenter are so much more enjoyable during baseball season because you can count on several games per day.

I love watching little league, high school and college baseball but I feel like baseball season doesn't really begin until Opening Day. I can't wait!

I laughed so hard after watching this. Then I watched it again and laughed even harder.

Happy Friday

Self control went out the window today when we had food Friday at work. it's bad timing because I haven't been able work out since Monday. I'm going to try to hit the gym tomorrow, I will be doing low-impact exercise that don't require back movement. less than ideal...

I hope that everyone has an amazing weekend. After the craziness I've had the past few weeks, I'm ready to relax and sleep in!

Here is a lovely clip from Easy A for the weekend.

Busy Body

My life is finally starting to calm down. Last week was a crazy mix of big changes (all good news on that front), visiting friends, basketball and a complete lack of sleep!

I’m finally catching up on my sleep, but I will never feel completely caught up, and I feel like things are back to normal.

So to sum up what is going on here you go:

I have a new roommate. It all happened rather quickly but both my mom and I are happy to have her in our home (we live in my mom’s house, my mom lives in San Antonio). I’m convinced that Steph would make an excellent blogger and I will try to convince her of that as well.

I am going to get a bike. We got a lovely gift card at work and I’m going to get myself a bike for the summer. I can’t wait. I’ll share it with you after this weekend.

Holy Sweet Sixteen! Jenny and Carey came to stay with me when BYU was playing in Denver. Check out Jenny’s blog to see some photos from the visit. It was great to spend some time with these ladies(thanks for the photo Carey)!

Vegas bound. I’m headed to Vegas at the end of next week for this little lady’s birthday. I can’t wait to see her and everyone else around there.

Anyone tuning into the BYU game tonight? So excited!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year (for me)!

I know I always bring up how much I don't like February and how much I love March, but really March is the best time of the year!

I love March Madness almost as much as I love the anticipation of Opening Day. Warm weather is just around the corner, and I'm not sure if I'm more excited about warm temps or the ability to watch baseball every day!

Jenny and Carey are visiting for the NCAA Tournament and we walked around LoDo yesterday and the sight of Coors Field was beautiful!

Here's the picture I took from the BYU game (please ignore the giant head, I fully intend to steal Jenny's pictures from this trip). I can't wait until Saturday where the three of us will be back in the Pepsi Center to watch BYU take on Gonzaga.

Monday blahs

Today is not a good day.

Everything about today was bad... But just when you feel like everything is going to fall apart the kindness of a random stranger saves you.

Today I left my wallet at my desk. I ran over to Noodles and Company for a med veg sandwich (so good I highly recommend it but without the cilantro) and right after I ordered I realized my wallet wasn't in my handbag.

The cashier simply told me not to worry about it and she would take care of it. I told her it really wasn't an issue and I could be right back but she insisted. She told me she was at Starbucks that morning and she went to pay for her order when the cashier said that the woman in front of her already paid for it. She had never seen the woman before and she was already gone before she had a chance to thank her. She wanted to pass along the favor and asked that I do the same for someone else.

Thank you kind people of the world!

Photo from whole living, I decided to post it because it makes me happy.
