Dear Fall

Please don’t tell summer I sent you this little note, she would never forgive me and I need summer every April and May.

But fall, please come for a visit really soon. I am looking forward to wearing all of my boots again, and finding a need to purchase more. I want to wear layers, scarves with jackets and long sleeves. I don’t care if I have to wear running tights and Under Armour to exercise. Give me football, tailgating, cocoa, falling leaves, chilly nights and the World Series.

I’m ready for my heavier coats, for tights, shorter days and laying on the couch with a good book and blankets to keep warm.
